Listed below are links to weblogs that reference How Much Does The DSL Line Cost Per Day?:

I wonder how much DSL would be on a per-day basis ;-)

15 Euro per month for a 3G data service works out cheaper than a monthly DSL line (assuming you are happy with rate and bit limits)and in some cases has no contract commitment.

One of the best deals I've found in Germany is Fonic who, as you know, use the Telefonica/O2 network. It's 2.50 per day with a 25 Euro per month maximum charge.

Is DSL still the main internet access method? I live in Ukraine, and here FTTB totally dominates in large and medium sized cities, and ADSL is mostly used in small towns and rural zones. At home I pay about 8.5 Euro per month for 50 Mbps unlimited access (here is my recent speedtest: http://www.speedtest.net/result/964294240.png ), and that's not even a promotional price. I do understand that labor costs are cheaper here than in the EU, so it can't cost the same in Austria, but I'm just saying that DSL as a technology kind of feels like XX century today (except maybe VDSL, but for network operators VDSL is not cheaper than FTTB).

In case you wonder why I have 30 Mbps on a 50 Mbps line, here is a speedtest to a closer server (note the ping, to DSL can do that): http://www.speedtest.net/result/968874642.png

Congratulations to Alex, but DSL and cable are clearly dominant in western Europe

Personally I have 8M DSL, and that is in fact more than enough for a non-nerd internet usage.

Here's what the report from the link above says:

–Strong FTTB build-out to East led by Russia,
–North and east Europe generally leading, and these look set to continue to lead through the next two years

That's exactly what I see here.

Hey. I found another good speedtest I'd like to share with you.
