There are 2G & 3G spectrum for mobile computing has a big importance in the communication era. Govt. should not only provide this spectrum only to the bigger companies as they could monopolies in this field that is not good for consumers.

I was talking to some LTE vendor and it was their opinion that by the time the UK has finalised the auction it will be possible to move to LTE Advanced directly bypassing LTE altogether :)

=8-(

When I left the UK, Ofcom was just preparing to auction the 2.6GHz bands. Almost five years on and it still hasn't happened. I suspect some of the existing 3GSM operators saw the threat that Wimax was posing, challenged the auction (thereby delaying a potential roll-out of a competing technology), and here we are today - no LTE and Wimax all but dead. And Ofcom was about promoting competition? It seems to be more worried about being sued. Joking aside, maybe jumping to LTE Advanced will be the way it happens there. Sad.

Big crisis ongoing in Europe that will affect credit. It is better to wait the crisis fades away to get more money out of that auction. I am sure that the countries that did not do the auction yet for LTE will wait for 1 to 3 years.
